I purchased this model when I went on my company assignment and did lots of browsing looking for its valuable features.
I earlier had a sony camera and had no complaints. But it is the earlier versions and now that I was holding a good post and started traveling abroad, I wished to hold something in style like all others.
Nikon D 500 was worth paying the price. Actually, I do not know much about camera, but for shooting pictures and a little about its features. Especially, I knew very little about that I need to know and lucky for me that I got a good one without any pain.
The technical things never crossed my ear, so no point in reaching my head. I just liked the model, no problem, I am learning the style and how to capture quality picture, giving room to my friends to laugh at me.
You can buy it online as well, but best bought on touching and feeling it. I mean physically buy it. Their support system is excellent and this is the reason they are above others.
It has great features to be used by me. The live view is cool, it offers accurate focusing. The manual focus is amazing to shoot in a great style. it has auto dynamic range of lighting allowing you to control the entire process.
The recording is quality, but for short clips alone. You cannot shoot continuously for over an hour.
