Air India has old aircrafts and the staffs are in typical old government styles. The cabin crew is not customer friendly and this airline is quite non-competitive.
I have the real flavor of Air India as my sis and I traveled recently from Mum- Hyd. It was an evening flight and we secured our boarding pass. Firstly, they announced it was delayed by 45 minutes.
The next came it was late by an hour and thirty minutes and very soon they announce it is delayed for 3 hours. Finally, I reached the door and the duty officer informed me we had to take the flight from the International airport.
Now, we got very annoyed and blew them, but all in vain. We had to rush and did so by taking a cab. Lucky we, he took us in few minutes and again now had to navigate through a big passengers queue.
We checked if the flight is available or has it gone. Once again, we were fortunate, the flight was delayed and so we could fly. But, the pathetic part was, when we were enquiring about our flight to Hyd, the staff does not pay attention as it is not an international flight, I suppose.
The Air India staffs forget that they work in India and for Indian flights. They do not answer politely and are unapologetic with their behavior. Many times they were furious with us for showing so late, keeping away the fact that due to their mistake we were delayed.
